These terms cover your use of the Choremon iOS app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
You must be 18 or older and be the parent or legal guardian of any child whose device you link to the app. By setting up a family you confirm you have the authority to manage the devices you link and to set limits on how they are used.
A child may use a linked device under your supervision.
Choremon lets a parent assign chores worth a number of play-time minutes. A child marks a chore done; the parent approves it; the minutes are then added to the child's balance. When a balance runs out, the app can ask iOS to shield the apps the parent selected.
To lock and unlock apps, Choremon uses Apple's Family Controls. iOS will ask you to grant this permission explicitly, and you can withdraw it at any time in the Settings app. Choremon can only ever manage the apps you yourself selected.
Choremon is not a security product and not a substitute for supervision. iOS controls what an app is permitted to shield, and a determined user with access to the device passcode can change device settings. Please do not rely on Choremon as the only thing standing between a child and a device.
Choremon is intended to be sold as an auto-renewing subscription with a free trial. At the time of writing, purchasing is not enabled: the app does not charge anyone and does not process payment information.
When purchasing is enabled, it will run through Apple's In-App Purchase. That means:
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com.
Please do not: use the app to break the law; try to break into other families' data or into our systems; reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it; or use it to harass, frighten or punish a child. Chore titles and messages are visible to the members of your own family — write accordingly.
Choremon depends on your network connection and on Google Firebase. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app altogether we will say so on this site with reasonable notice.
The chores, names and messages you enter stay yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them within your own family so the app can work. We do not use your content for anything else.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law permits. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a child gaining or losing screen time because the app, the device or the network did not behave as expected.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You may stop using Choremon at any time by deleting the app. See the Privacy Policy for how to have your stored data deleted. We may suspend access if the app is being used in a way that breaks section 5.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept the update.
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. This does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
